2 Ways to SAVE while Shopping

Hello friends! I am still a little bit energized from the optimistic rush that the new year brings! I was looking over my goals and sharing a few on my Instagram, and many of you had financial goals for 2019 so I thought I would share two ways that save money WHILE shopping! LOL

Terrible I know but it’s SOOOooo easy I just had to share these two quick tips.

The first tip is to sign up with Ebates. Have you heard of Ebates? It’s FREE and Awesome! Especially if you like to shop online, although if you use the app you can benefit from shopping in the stores too. The basic idea is that when you buy something online (or in person), you visit the store’s website (like Target, or Best Buy etc) through the Ebates website. You can also add an extension to your web browser. Every time you shop, Ebates and then Ebates must take a small percentage of that transaction but in turn, you get a small perk too. I was shopping online at H&M when I thought about sharing these tips with you, so here are some screenshots of when I initiated my Ebates shopping trip at H&M. Most of the time I just use my chrome extension and it blinks when I enter a webpage that is linked to Ebates which makes it even easier. If you use this link you get a $10 bonus! You won’t regret it since I have signed up I have earned almost $400 in rebates.

My second easy peasy savings tool I use is Acorns! It is a service that not only rounds your purchases to the nearest dollar and saves it (for example, if you buy a candy bar for $0.78 Acrons would round to the nearest dollar, depositing $0.22 from your checking into your Acorns account) What I love about Acorn is that not only do they help you save that amount, but they INVESTS IT! Which is why I love this one! This one isn’t free, but it’s only $1 a month if you choose the most basic plan! If you use this link you will get $5 to start. I love this one, because one of my goals for 2019 was to open 3 investment accounts and this was a super easy way to get started in checking this one off my list.
